Author Page: Grace Ellis

Grace Ellis is a New York Times-bestselling comic book writer. An Ohio native, she studied theater and journalism at Ohio State University. Her first venture into comics began while she was still in college: creating and writing Lumberjanes, an all-ages story about monster-fighting girl scouts. From there, it was onto Moonstruck—which is an adventure-romance story about a werewolf barista—followed by several pieces for DC Comics.

Flung Out of Space, Grace’s first foray into adult comics, is a based-on-a-true-story graphic novel about suspense writer Patricia Highsmith. It will be published by Abrams Books in February 2022.

Grace lives in Columbus, Ohio, where she can often be found attending a play or petting a cat.
